Anyone in the mood for corn on the cob?

I found this and thought it would look really good on my table as it does. I realized that it had something inside it rattling around. I finally got a flashlight and looked inside. Turns out it was a really old cob of corn. Kinda disgusting. I looked it up and found out that
when people made whiskey or moon shine they would

use a corn cob as like a cork to plug the hole. I thought it was cool that the cob was inside. Makes me wonder though. I guess the jug would be ruined for them if the corn fell inside as it did here. There's no way to get it out. I don't know how old this thing is, but it's very pretty.
