Okay, so it's my third post today... but it's my
blog's birthday! Here are some of my creations. There aren't any before shots, just the after. Now that I will be blogging all this I will be sure to take more before pics. I did a guest appearance on my sister-in-laws blog...
http://christinaandvictoria.blogspot.com/ . I included in it some of this. Anyway, back to this project. What I had was a plain clipboard. You might be wondering why I chose to harass a clipboard. Well, I'm a n
ursing student and we carry around with us lots of paperwork. If you know a nurse then you have probably heard them say that most of what they do is on paper. I got tired of the plain thing. I decided to spray paint it a burnt orange. Then I took this thick poster material and using a precision razor

blade I cut out a monogram. I used a creamy white spray paint for the monogram. I did this on both sides of the clipboard. I sealed it with varnish. I really liked this cutting out stencils, so I made this other one. It's suppose to be a sea gull. I haven't used it for anything though. I would probably just use the bird part in the middle and not the outer ring if I were to try it on something.

Welcome to blogland! You'll enjoy it. :)
I still love the box you painted! I cannot "freehand" anything so it impresses me.
Wow! You turned a plain old clipboard into a thing of beauty! I bet all of the other nurses are jealous.
I'm so impressed that you had the patience to cut out your own detailed stencil. With that much patience, I'm sure you're a wonderful nurse. Thanks for sharing your talents with others!
