"NOVELties"

I decided to make pumpkins from old books like my sister-in-law did. It was very easy and fun. I just folded back every page, then cut out a face from black construction paper. Mine are very plain compared to some of the ones I've seen. I think they go well with my new candlestick that I got at a family yard sale. The candlestick is partly made from marbles that someone glued onto it. Very creative on their part. It was this color when I got it and I'm going to leave it this way. My dogs ate the mouth off the lower pumpkin :o( or should I just say :o

came across your blog. I love the book pumpkins. I must do some. So-do you use any paper back-and is there a trick?
I love your windows as well. I am a lover of old windows-they are all over my house. I wanted to tell you what I found that hangs heavy stuff-you don't need a husband, a stud or even a hammer and a nail!
Maybe you have heard of them-if not go and get some. They are Hercules Hooks. Each hook will hold 150 lbs. You just push them in the wall and twist! A girls best decorator friend! You can get them at walmart-but they are kind of pricey-Dollar General has a knockoff-20 hooks for $3.00! These would work great for your cute green mirror! Please stop by and say hi! Love making new smart suepr cute friends!

Hi, Meg. Thanks for coming by my blog. Regarding the chalkboard... great minds think alike. :)

I love your book pumpkin. What a great idea. I've got to make one of those book things. I'm thinking he would look great with a little Santa hat later this year.
